A POEM:

 I pondered and cried:

            ‘Storm waves are tossed in a raging sea, while all is calm in the depths.

            Oh Lord, please cause the same within me, as in Your hands I am kept.’

He answered:

            ‘More than all the sands, in all the seas are my thoughts towards you, child. Just believe.

            I keep the oceans to their appointed shores. Rest in my love – I will keep you more.’

My Prayer:

            Oh Lord, bless this reader. Together, may we have a fresh awareness of your presence, and be filled with Your peace. May we know that no matter how wild or painful our circumstances or emotions, and no matter how alone or ‘at sea’ we might feel – You are with us. You promised never to leave us. In spite of our doubts, fears, or pains we can trust your promises because You are Truth. Help us to know the reality of your amazing grace, and keep us in your hands, Lord – now and always. In Jesus name, Amen

HIS PROMISES:

“And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not leave you or forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”  Deuteronomy 31:8

“… and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”   Matthew 28:20

POINTS TO PONDER:

It’s not easy to bring our thoughts into captivity before the Lord – but it is possible, and it is a choice we must make relentlessly. When we don’t know what to pray – we can ask the Holy Spirit to pray for us.  May we take courage from remembering that even in the darkest moments – when all we can do is cry – we are still pleasing to our God.  As we hold on, we are His witnesses because,  “… He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect (perfectly displayed) in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

Keep holding on.  Even through tears, you shine.
