Guest Post:

Let Go ... Let God

With all the chaos in government, riots, and protests, the Covid pandemic, unemployment, and chaos surrounding us, it is easy to become discouraged.

Aside from all that, there is family life, worries about finances, health, etc. We are isolated from our everyday routines and friendships and can feel alone, bored, and become depressed.

Many of us grab the nearest cookie or chip. Others dig into projects around the house. Still, others bury themselves in work projects. These are all good distractions, but the true relief comes only from God.

When I get into His word (the Bible), I find peace and clarity. I know that this will all one day pass. I know that whatever happens with the government, with race riots, with our economy, and so forth, God is still in control.

God said, “If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.”                                              2 Chron. 7:14 NKJV

I can’t think of a better time in our history where this verse is more relevant. It is time that we turn back to God and asked forgiveness for ourselves and our nation. America is sick, and we need the Great Physician to heal our land.

If you believe anything the Bible says, it is time that we acted on that belief and cried out to God to heal our land physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

We need all Christians to get serious and Pastors to stop playing church and start preaching God’s word in such a way that people turn back to God.

God is perfectly capable of solving all our problems; we need to turn back to Him, serve Him, and seek His guidance for our lives. He will take care of the rest!
